Investigator for Mediator Qualifications Board (MQB)
and Mediation Training Review Board (MTRB)

Function: Conducts fact-finding and investigates the allegations contained in the complaint and the mediator's response. The investigator reports the results of such investigation to the complaint committee.

Qualifications: Certification by the Florida Supreme Court as a county, family and/or circuit mediator; or licensure as an attorney; or at least 5 years experience as an investigator in any administrative, civil or criminal proceeding.

Compensation: $75/hour up to $1,500. Investigators are appointed on an as needed basis. Résumés are kept on file for four (4) years.

Prosescutor (Counsel) for MQB and MTRB

Function: Investigating and presenting the complaint to the hearing panel. Prosecutor does not serve as counsel to the complainant. May also perform investigative functions as necessary.

Qualifications: Membership in The Florida Bar with a minimum of three years legal experience. Experience prosecuting or defending grievances or criminal matters; and certification by the Florida Supreme Court as a county, family, dependency and/or circuit mediator preferred.

Compensation: $100/hour up to $2,000. Prosecutors are appointed on an as needed basis. Résumés are kept on file for four (4) years.
